Associate Pastor - Jerry W. Benge


Jerry W. Benge was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. He is a graduate of Bob Jones University with both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees. He served for five years as a graduate-assistant in ancient languages at Bob Jones. He has also been certified by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and for several years has been involved in Biblical Counseling and Biblical Counseling training. Jerry served for seven years as a part of the training staff of the Faith Baptist Counseling Ministries in Lafayette, Indiana, has taught workshops at NANC regional and national conferences, and has more recently been involved in training pastors in Jamaica and Russia. Before coming to Michigan in 1995, he helped to plant two churches in Indiana from 1984-1995.

Jerry and his wife, Kellie, have three children:  Jeremy, married to Michelle and living in Kentucky; Joel, who attends Wayne State University, and Karissa, who is being homeschooled in her high school years.  Jerry and Kellie are working towards becoming missionaries to the Ukraine sometime in the near future.

Jerry enjoys reading, learning Russian, and following the fortunes of Kentucky Wildcats basketball.
