The Right Purpose

Summary: You are the slave. You are in bondage to your own sin and to Satan, the father of lies. You have no future, no hope, no peace, no rights, no standing, no inheritance, no place at the table, no identity, and no life. You are chained to a post in the market. Your life is treated like a piece of meat. You are in bondage to your sin and to the empty way of life that comes with it (1 Pet. 1.18). You owe a debt that demands complete servitude for the rest of your life. Into the marketplace comes the Son of God. He nails a piece of paper to the post, and then with his nail-scarred hands he breaks the chains off of your wrists and ankles, heart and mind. He then gives you a robe, shoes and a crown and sets you inside his carriage and takes you home, to his home. The piece of paper? It simply read - "Paid in Full"

The Right One

Summary: He is God, the very God who was sent from the side of the Eternal, Holy and Heavenly Father, to the womb of a finite, sinful and earthly mother. He was sent from streets of heaven to the dusty roads of this earth. He was sent from a throne in glory to a feeding trough in a dirty, drafty stable. This whole thing is a contrast. But God! This is the God of intervention. This is the God who intercepts lives from going to hell. This is the God who did not have to do this, but did it anyway. He came after you.

The Right Time

Summary: God opens our eyes so that we can see that this world is not divided up between the natural and supernatural, or the mundane and extraordinary. Oh no! The earth is the Lord's and everything in it. (Psalm 24.1) It all belongs to Him and He upholds all things by the Word of His power to accomplish His plan of the ages. At just exact the right moment in time, God sent His Son. All of the events on the stage of history were in place for this event to take place.
